We carefully select only very high quality diamonds for our jewellery. All our diamonds of 0.3ct and above are independently graded, and are supplied with certificates. There are four factors that determine the value of a diamond – the four Cs:
Clarity - most diamonds contain tiny inclusions and blemishes. The fewer and less prominent these are, the higher the quality. Diamonds are graded from Fl (flawless) down to I3 (severely included).
Cut - the proportions and symmetry of the facets of a diamond determine its brilliance, sparkle, and fire. The better the cut, the higher the quality.
Colour - white diamonds are very rarely completely white. The closer to pure white, the higher the quality. Colour grades range from D (perfect white) to Z (severely discoloured).
Carat - this is the measure of the size of a diamond, where one carat is equal to one fifth of a gram.
